Catching up

Still no camera, so here are a few pictures until I get it back!

Paging Dr. Ellie...

This girl loves playing doctor.

Poor thing was out cold at a football banquet last week.  She slept through the whole thing!

First manicure!  DeDe treated her before we left on our trip.  She looks terrified, but she was so proud!

Ginger is here!  She was waiting for Ellie after she got home from Mrs. Carla's with an afternoon snack.  Poor Ginger has been hanging out in Ellie's stocking ever since.  She just can't keep up this year!

My pretty girl.  She's all about posing and taking pictures these days:)

We had to make a quick trip to Jackson, so she got a treat at Target.

Happy Friday!

Nassau--from my phone

I ran off and left my big camera in Memphis.  Boo!  So, until I get it back, a phone update of our fabulous trip to the Bahamas will just have to do!

This little girl was the best little traveler.  We managed to go the entire week without a single meltdown until we got to the airport to head home.  I'd call that a success!  Ellie was in heaven the entire week and having so many great helpers made it an easy and relaxing vacation on everyone.

The two that made this trip possible.  I don't think I said thank you enough!!

Can someone please tell me what we did before iPads and portable DVD players?

We stayed on Atlantis.  The place is HUGE!  We walked a lot every day and once again, Ellie was a trooper.  We decided last minute to not bring the stroller and there were only a couple of times I wished we had it.

The main reason we went was to watch the Memphis Tigers play in the Battle 4 Atlantis. Here is our first game vs. VCU.  We won't talk about the outcome.

I don't have any pool pictures on my phone, but we spent lots of time at the water park and kiddie pools.  Atlantis is great for kids.  There is tons to do and kids are everywhere!  Ellie got to "build a bear" as a little souvenir treat to bring home.  She was so excited!

We toured the Discover Atlantis aquarium one night.  This was one of my favorite parts of the resort!

We tried to get reservations at the hotel restaurants but they were all booked every night:(  So, we ventured off the resort and had dinner at "The Poop Deck" one night.

Fun, fun trip!  Hopefully I will have my camera back soon and willl be able to do a full recap!

Queens

I am the QUEEN of procrastination.  There is so much I need to be doing right now, but here I sit.  It will all get done, eventually!

Ellie is the QUEEN (no pun intended) of playing dress up.  Ask her what her favorite toy is, and she will tell you dress up clothes.  She loves it so much so, in fact, that I caught her at MIDNIGHT the other night in her playroom playing dress up in the pitch dark.  She kills me!  The next morning she told me that I "was mean and took her crown off last night."  Hmmm, wonder why???

As a matter of fact, the princess or QUEEN is sleeping as I type in full on dress up garb.  Gotta love it!

This is totally random, but I helped host a Matilda Jane trunk show this past weekend.  I am loving their clothes for this age!  Although I feel like Ellie looks way too old here.

That's all I've got!

Halloween Fun

Halloween was tons of fun this year!  Ellie totally got into trick or treating and was amazed at how fast her bucket was filled.  She was set on being a "beautiful pink fairy" and that is exactly what she was!

The festivities started out with Elam's THIRD annual Halloween party.  As usual everything was lots of fun and really cute.  Kim made everything from "candy corn pizza" to a "petrified pumpkin" cheese ball to snack on.  The kiddos did crafts and played and ran wild.  Thanks, Murphy's!

Baby Henry even made an appearance this year.  Is it just me or is he not the cutest baby ever??

Ellie and Brooke

Crafting their puppets

Family shot.  Doesn't Ellie look thrilled?  Ha!

Oh, how we miss our Aunt Jenny!

Last night was filled with lots of stops and 3 different Trunk or Treats.  Before we could head out, we had to finally carve our pumpkin!

Our first stop was at Maw Maw's house. She made cupcakes!

Our next stop was at Maw Maw and Paw Paw's for some trick or treating and to their neighbors, the Pope's. They were making fresh kettle corn, cotton candy and apple cider.  My kind of Halloween treats!

Ellie's love for popcorn is pretty hilarious.  She's just like her Daddy, DeDe and Grandon.  She could eat it every night f we would let her.

We ran into lots of cousins!  Keely was a scary monster but Ellie had nothing to do with her while she had on her mask.  Keely was so sweet to leave it off as long as Ellie was around:)

Next, we walked across the street to the Methodist and Presbyterian churches to Trunk or Treat.  Ellie's bucket was full in no time!

Sweet and pretty girls in pink!  I just love this picture.

Next, we went out to Bethel for their big fall festival.  Ellie had her face painted...

Did the cake walk about 300 times...

Jumped to her hearts content in the bouncy houses...

 And even painted a pumpkin!

Our last stop was Frosty and Leese's house for MORE treats.  Knox the pirate pulled up at the same time!

We had a busy, fun filled night.  Ellie was bathed and OUT by 8:45.  I'd call that a Halloween miracle in our house!

That was major picture overload but I just couldn't leave any out!
