In the last week, we have officially found a renter for our house! While it is not ideal, we feel like it is still a huge load lifted off of our shoulders. We were running out of time and feel like this is the best option for us, for now. So, for the next year we are landlords to a very nice guy that will hopefully take good care of our little house.
We also have a new house! We are so excited! The closets are huge, the bedrooms are huge, there is just storage galore and we are thrilled. It is still a little Brady Bunch-esque...but nothing a little paint and some TLC can't fix. I am ready to decorate!
With all that said...life is a little hectic, as usual. We have been gradually moving as we go along which has made things fairly easy. I still feel frazzled and unorganized but I am hoping that will pass as soon as I can wrap my head around all that is going on. Don has hit the ground running on the packing up and moving and has been a huge help. Good thing he is pretty much a professional mover and has an entire football team to help us out!
We have had VBS at church all week and it has been great! We had 961 kids on Tuesday which I think is just unreal. Ellie has loved being back at "school" and playing with her friends. DeDe did come to the rescue last night though, E needed a rest day and Mommy and Daddy needed a sanity/moving/rest day themselves.
All in all, we have so much to look forward to and be thankful for! We leave for the beach in exactly TWO weeks with some great friends, new jobs, new houses and lots of fun ahead!
I will try to update on house progress as we go if I can. We've got lots of work to do in the meantime.
